Seylan makes sweeping statement at National Sales Congress Awards 2020

Seylan Bank PLC, the Bank with a Heart, celebrated the journey and growth of its young sales heroes at the National Sales Congress Awards 2020, as they walked away with multiple awards at the premier event recognising sales excellence in Sri Lanka. The team won one Gold, two Silver and five Bronze awards at the ceremony held on February 8, 2022, a testament to the nurturing environment that empowered their sales journey.

The SLIM NASCO Awards celebrates its 21st year as the only credible and respected award ceremony for sales professionals. The premier event dedicated to recognizing the efforts and performance of sales personnel, while uplifting them to the next level, is eagerly awaited by those who seek to wear the ultimate badge of honour for dynamic sales professionals and corporates in Sri Lanka.

Kapila Ariyaratne, Director/CEO at Seylan Bank lauded the sales teams that held their own in a close fought competition. “Congratulations to the Seylan Team members for their amazing show at the NASCO Awards. I have watched their growth with pride and am truly honoured to have created a space for them to hone their talents and practice their passion. The 19 awards amassed at the SLIM NASCO Awards over the past four ceremonies by the Bank is testament to the years long efforts to groom one of the best sales teams in the banking industry of Sri Lanka.

Seylan Bank’s B G Chinthaka Fernando won the Silver award for National Sales Manager of the Year at the NASCO Awards 2020, whilst Territory Managers Malen Cabandugama and M Z Ameer won Silver and Bronze in their category, respectively. R W M Dushantha Abeykoon and Malinda Liyanage won Bronze in the Sales Supervisor category, whilst Shiran Hettiarachchi walked away with Gold in the Sales Executive category, and Himansa Rukshan Premathilake picked up a Bronze. Chathurika Fernando won the Bronze award in the Front Line category.
