AIA steps forward to support the parents of the newborn sextuplet
A mother gave birth to six babies in Sri Lanka on Thursday, 21st October 2021, and is said to be the country’s first-ever case of sextuplets and recorded as the nineteenth case worldwide. AIA Insurance extended their heartfelt wishes to the parents as they stepped into this new journey of parenthood.
As a company that is driven by the brand purpose of encouraging people live healthier, longer, better lives AIA appreciates this special moment of these parents and the entire country as a whole. The company stepped forward to support the new parents in taking care of their six bundles of love.
Speaking to AIA’s Chief Executive Officer, Nikhil Advani, he added “As a parent of twins I know the joy and delight a newborn baby brings into a family, and for these parents its six times over. Along with the monumental moment of joy, every parent is bestowed with the sense of responsibility of ensuring protection and wellbeing for them. Which is why we understand the importance of been financially protected in the years to come.
AIA Sri Lanka is in partnership with Ninewells hospitals since 2020, a leader in maternity and women /child wellness. Nikhil Advani commented, “The amazing facilities at Ninewells and the great work by the doctors and nurses made this possible.” As part of the partnership, AIA provides financial protection and security to families that step into parenthood by providing a 1 Million rupee worth of Worldwide Personal Accidental Life Insurance cover free of charge.
