Yupun to compete in Rome on Saturday

Italy based sprinter Yupun Abeykoon is set to compete in the 100 metres of the Roma Sprint Festival on Saturday.The national record holder in the 100 metres Abeykoon is yet to enter the ‘Road to Paris Olympic rankings maintained by World Athletics.

He needs to clock 10.00 seconds in the 100 metres dash to reach direct qualifying standard for the Olympics.His race will be held at 10.55 pm Sri Lanka time on Saturday.
