Yupun clocks 10.21 seconds at Roma Sprint Festival

Italy based sprinter Yupun Abeykoon clocked 10.21 seconds to be placed fourth at the Roma Sprint Festival as he took another step closer to reaching qualifying standards for the Paris Olympics.On Saturday he was competing against a strong field inclusive of reigning Olympic champion Marcell Jecobs who clocked 10.07 seconds to win.

Chithuru Ali clocked 10.11sec to be placed second.According to athletics analysts he needs to perform well at three more top events or run sub 10 seconds if he is to qualify for the Paris Olympics.
