YMMA condemns lynching of Sri Lankan in Pakistan
The All Ceylon YMMA Conference in a statement expressed its condemnation of what it termed as “barbaric and dastardly mob attack, murder, lynching and setting on fire of a Sri Lankan Factory Manager in Pakistan.”
The statement signed by the National President of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference Saheed M Rismy said: “The All Ceylon YMMA Conference wish to express its strong and unequivocal condemnation of the barbaric and dastardly mob attack, murder, lynching and setting on fire of a Sri Lankan Factory Manager in Pakistan.
The actions of the members of this mob are in total contradiction of the Teachings of Islam. Islam does not permit individuals to take the law into their hands and even governments are prohibited from punishing offenders with fire.
The All Ceylon YMMA Conference commends Prime Minister, Imran Khan and his government for taking speedy and stern action to bring to book the perpetrators of this horrendous crime and reposes its confidence that justice will be meted out to the loved ones of the deceased.”
