Paceman Lakindu Yahampath shocked Mahinda taking four quick wickets to make them precariously placed at 30 for five wickets at stumps in reply to Moratu Vidyalaya’s 300 runs on day one of the Under 19 Division Division I Tier ‘B’ match in Galle on Thursday.

Batting first, almost the entire batting lineup clicked for Moratu Vidyalaya with Deneth Sithumina top scoring with 96.

At BOI, Zahira staged a dramatic fight back against Maris Stella as the eighth wicket pair of Mohomed Ijaz (100) and Salman Refai (77) put on a stand of 164 runs for them to score 248 runs after being 75 for seven wickets at one stage.
