Würth concludes Train the Trainer programme
“Technipreneurs Lanka” Programme by Wurth Lanka (Pvt) Ltd represented by Rohan Amirthiah, and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) represented by Andreas Hergenröther, concluded recently on a successful note.
This Train the Trainer programme was based on German further training procedures, in regard to entry requirements, examination structure, content and pass marks. The AHK-certification is aimed to increase the competitiveness of Sri Lankan craftsmen.
20 Vocational Training Authority trainers were trained on the Technipreneurs course. Josef Tschoep, Head of Vocational Training at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka), led the programme while it was conducted by Lasantha Abeywickrama and Dr. Chamara Bandara at the K-Tec Vocational Training Center in Orugoddawatte from June 25 to July 3.
Training of the Trainers is part of Technipreneurs Lanka’s sustainability plan to ensure technipreneurs training is continued with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka after the pilot project is completed.
Technipreneurs Lanka project aims to uplift electricians, plumbers, and air condition technicians and thereby create skilled and economically independent craftsmen for Sri Lanka.
