Women and Child Affairs Minister wants to increase needy children’s breakfast provision
Women and Child Affairs Minister Geetha Kumarasinghe said that she was trying to increase the allocation for the needy children’s breakfast.
Addressing a gathering at Elpitiya, on Monday (20), Minister Kumarasinghe said that she wanted to raise the daily allocation Rs 100 per head from Rs 60.
The Galle District lawmaker said that during a survey conducted in the Elpitiya area, many pre-schools were found to be lacking even the basic facilities and thousands of children were in need of nutritious food.
