Woman agricultural officer stabbed to death

A 30-year-old woman agricultural officer was killed in Netolpitiya, Tangalle early yesterday morning (27).

The Police said the victim, a resident of the Netolpitiya area, had died after being attacked with a sharp object.

Preliminary Police investigations have revealed that a person from the same area had carried out the attack over a dispute that had occurred with the official at the area’s agricultural office the day before.

The suspect has been arrested.

The Tangalle Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
