Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery, Sri Lanka’s leading Jewellery Store, recently declared open two drinking water projects at Bambalapitiya Hindu College and Ramanathan Hindu Ladies’ College. These are the latest in the long line of such projects carried out by the company. The projects enhance access to clean water for the students of the two schools. Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery believes that children are the future of the country and wants to improve their health.

“Both these schools have piped water but there was a need to enhance access to cleaner water. Therefore, Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery stepped up and implemented the two drinking water projects. In recent years we have implemented such projects in many public spaces, from schools to hospitals. These initiatives have benefited many people,” A.P. Jayarajah, CEO of Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery said. The company has chosen Nallatanniya Maha Vidyalaya as the site for their next drinking water project.
