Wildlife Conservation Dept. earns Rs 1,421 mn

The Department of Wildlife Conservation had earned Rs. 7.7 million in 2022 from fines, a senior official said.

The total revenue earned by the Wildlife Department by November 2022 was Rs.1,421 million. The Department also shared the latest statics with Agriculture, Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation.

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera. Minister Amaraweera has advised the department to start programmes to attract foreign tourists to the Yala National Park, as well as Wilpattu and Wasgamuwa National Parks, this year.
