The Western Musicians’ Association (WMA), looking after the interest of local artistes, connected with the western music scene, moved into top gear, a few weeks ago, in order to render yeoman service to those performers who are hard hit, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The lockdown, and curfews, are being experienced in every part of the globe, and almost everyone is finding the going very tough. And, there seems very little hope for a better tomorrow.

The local music scene has hit rock bottom and many performers are in dire straits, and that galvanised the WMA, the Advisory Council and the EXCO, working together, to embark on a project that was a huge success.

The funds collected will be utilised to purchase essentials for the needy musicians.

Those involved in this worthy cause were, themselves, overwhelmed by the success of their project, and plan to do a lot more for the local western music scene in the future.

The celebration of their success took the form of a cake, with those responsible partaking.
