Wattegama Education Zone win top title at Central Province Schools Sports Colours awards

Wattegama Education Zone received the award for the best zone of the province at the Central Province Schools Sports colours awards ceremony held at Polgolla. Incidentally, Kandy zone which is home to a number of top schools in the country was placed second behind Wattegama. Here Susantha Fernando (2nd right), who heads the sports administration of the title-winning zone apart from guiding the athletes of Ratnayake Central, Walala to win accolades at All Island championships, is seen receiving the award alongside other officials of the zone. Lalith U Gamage, the governor of Central Province was the chief guest of the ceremony which was organized by Athula Jayawardena, the Assistant Director of Education (Sports) of the province.
