Water tariff hike in the pipeline

Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Minister Jeevan Thondaman yesterday (18) said that water tariffs would be increased soon.

Thondaman said so responding to a query raised by SJB’s Ishak Rahaman in Parliament. The Minister said that water tariffs had to be increased as electricity prices had been raised by 66 percent.
