Wanted man extradited from Dubai

The police yesterday (31) brought Ruwan Jayasekara, aka “Midigama Ruwan”, to Colombo from Dubai. Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa confirmed the extradition as the government continued talks with foreign authorities to bring home several wanted men living overseas.

“Midigama Ruwan” is believed to have been arrested by the Dubai Police, based on an Interpol warrant. Sources said he was one of the underworld kingpins wanted by the local law enforcement authorities over several serious crimes.
