Vishwa, Thewmika shine as St. Josep Vaz’s and Thurstan win

Under 19 Tier ‘B’ Cricket Quarter-Finals

Thustan will meet St. Joseph Vaz’s College in the bottom semi-final of the Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ cricket tournament after they beat their quarter-final counterparts in low scoring affairs on Thursday.At Moratuwa, Vishwa Rajapaksha was the hero for St. Joseph Vaz’s as he picked up four wickets to contain Maris Stella to 72 runs before top scoring with an unbeaten 31 runs to steer the side to victory with many overs to spare.  At Darley Road, Vihas Thewmika picked up four wickets to restrict Isipatana to 75 runs. In their essay Thurstan reached the win need with six wickets in hand and many overs to spare.
