Vindya Perera wins South Asia’s Outstanding Young Women Entrepreneur award

Founder of Lustre Designs Corporation, a custom gem cutting lapidary for precious and semi-precious gemstones, Vindya Perera won the award for Outstanding Young Women Entrepreneur of the Year under the Women Leadership Category at the South Asia Business Excellence Awards held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Bangladesh recently. The Brilliant Cuts, the parent company of Lustre, received the award for Export Management Sector Excellence (SME) Award under the Export Management in Natural Resources Category, for successful exports of custom cut gems from Sri Lanka, for the second consecutive year.

Established in 2016, South Asian Business Excellence Awards acknowledges and rewards exceptional work by the trailblazers of the corporate sector in the region. The award recipients, who have shown excellence in innovation, enterprise, and endeavor, are selected by an international Jury and the awards received by Brilliant Cuts and Lustre, outshining several regional industry leaders, is not just a noteworthy achievement for the brand, but for the country as a whole, as it drives recognition to Sri Lanka.

Receiving the award, Vindya Perera said Lustre as a brand is proud to be bestowed with this honor, marking yet another milestone in its journey of development. “With recognition like this, the future holds a lot of promise with more innovative products entering the industry through Lustre,” she said.
