Veteran actress Anula Bulathsinhala dies

Veteran actress Anula Bulathsinhala passed away yesterday morning after a brief illness. She was 73.

Family sources said that she had passed away while receiving treatment in hospital.

Anula Bulathsinhala was popular for her numerous acting roles in Sri Lankan cinema, teledramas and stage dramas. She was also an accomplished singer.

Anula Bulathsinhala was the wife of veteran playwright, poet, stage drama producer and lyricist Lucien Bulathsinhala.

Her funeral will be held this evening at Colombo Cemetery, family sources said.
