US Senate Foreign Relation Committee concerned on delay of LA poll

In a twitter message the US  Senate Foreign Relations Committee aired its concerns on the postponement of the Local Authorities poll in Sri Lanka.

The twitter message is as follows

‘Any effort to take away the voice of the people of Sri Lanka is undeniably undemocratic and a direct violation of Sri Lankans’ rights. I urge the government of Sri Lanka to hold free and fair local elections without further delays’.
