Under 19 Traditional Cricket – Sadisha sizzles as Royal top 400 runs

Sri Lanka Under 19 cap Sadisha Rajapaksha top scored with 166 runs for Royal.

 Sri Lanka Under 19 cap Sadisha Rajapaksha hammered 166 runs in 144 balls for Royal to amass 404 for six wickets declared and spinner Mihiru Dhananjaya took five wickets for Prince of Wales as the two teams dominated day one of their traditional Under 19 cricket encounters at Ananda Mawatha and Moratuwa respectively on Wednesday. Rajapaksha put on 192 runs for the second wicket with Sineth Jayawardana who missed a valuable century by five runs. The massive stand helped the Reid Avenue team top 400 runs. Jayawardena scored his 95 runs in 94 balls with 10 fours and four sixes. Rajapaksha’s knock contained 25 fours and a six. In reply Ananda were 103 for one wicket at stumps.At Moratuwa, Isipatana were dismissed for 87 runs as Dhananjaya picked up five wickets.Randunu Ganganath, who top scored with an unbeaten 41 runs for Isipatana, later took four wickets but Cambrians had taken a 99-run lead with one wicket in hand at stumps.
