Under 19 Division II Tier ‘B’ Cricket final commences today

Maris Stella College, Thimbirigaskatuwa will encounter Royal College Panadura in the final of the Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ cricket final today (2) and tomorrow (3) at the Surrey Village ground Maggona.

The two teams played in the same group in the first round. While Maris Stella completed the group stage as champions, Royal were the runners up to them.

Maris Stella captained by Yohan Fernando beat Christ King College Ja Ela and President’s College Kotte in the quarter-finals and the semi-finals respectively.

Royal skippered by Yasith Fernando edged out Kingswood College Kandy in the quarter-finals before eliminating P. de S. Kularatna College Ambalangoda in the semi-finals. When these teams encountered each other in the first round Maris Stella scored first innings points.
