U.S State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary- Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs visits Port of Colombo

U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary Afreen Akhter of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) for Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives visited Port of Colombo recently and met the Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) – Keith D. Bernard and several higher Officials of SLPA. At the discussions the Chairman of SLPA briefed the U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary of the future developments and their potential to build the Port of Colombo the maritime hub of the region.
