Two women arrested for sitting on President’s chair

Police have arrested two women for forcibly entering the President’s House and taking pictures sitting on the President’s chair.The suspects were taken into custody by the officers of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).The two suspects are residents of Moratuwa.

The suspects were in pictures released by the police headquarters last week seeking public assistance to apprehend the suspects.The CCD is conducting investigations into the incidents.The Police said the whereabouts of 29 persons identified with the help of CCTV footage and social media posts were still unable to be ascertained.Among the majority of the pictures released were suspects seated on the President’s chair.
