Two teenagers arrested for killing father

Kodikamam police investigating the killing of a 43-year-old person living alone in a makeshift hut have arrested his two sons, aged 17 and 19.The police also took into custody a friend of the boys on Saturday (April 01).

The police acted on information that a young person had sought treatment at Chavakachcheri hospital for a cut injury. He had injured his hand when he stabbed his father, sources said, adding that the suspect’s brother, too, had attacked the victim with a knife.

They have told police that their mother wanted their father killed as he had deserted her some time back. Police said that the two brothers studied at leading schools in Jaffna.
