Two new Parliamentary Caucuses

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed the House yesterday that approval had been granted at the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business held on Dec 12, for the establishment of the two Parliamentary Caucuses.

Accordingly, the establishment of a ‘Caucus of Medical Parliamentarians Sri Lanka’, on the request made by MP Prof. Tissa Vitarana and other nine MPs and the establishment of a “Climate Parliament of Sri Lanka”, on the request made by MP Eran Wickramaratne and other 21 MPs have been approved.
