Two men, woman arrested with nine kilos of ‘ICE’

The STF yesterday arrested three suspects including a woman, along with nine kilos of Crystal methamphetamine (also known as ICE) during two raids at Kiribathgoda and Katunayake . Police said the street value of the stock of ICE, taken into custody, was over Rs. 100 million.

The suspects and the consignment of narcotics were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations, police said, adding that preliminary investigations had revealed that a Sri Lankan drug kingpin, known as ‘Dubai Nipuna,’ operating from Dubai, was behind the abortive drug smuggling bid.
