Two injured as unidentified gang opens fire

A group of unidentified persons opened fire on two persons, who were travelling on a motorcycle, over the weekend in Minuwangoda.The victims, both residents of Heenatiyana, were first admitted to the Minuwangoda Hospital and then transferred to the Gampaha Hospital.

The assailants fled in a car, according to the police.Preliminary investigations have revealed that a T-56 assault rifle was used in the shooting. Minuwangoda police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspects involved in the attack.
