Turkish Ambassador pays courtesy call on Public Security Minister

A meeting took place between Public Security Minister Rear Admiral (rtd) Sarath Weerasekara and Ambassador of Turkey to the Maldives and Sri Lanka, Rakibe Demet Şekercioğlu, at the Ministry in Suhurupaya. The Minister and the Ambassador discussed ways and means of further strengthening historical and cultural relations between the two nations.

Their discussion also centred around bilateral cooperation in terms of economic affairs, defence, etc.

The Turkish Ambassador expressed Turkey’s continued support and solidarity in furthering the growth and development of Sri Lanka.
