Traffic snarl, waste of man hours and fuel

Traffic jams are very annoying at some junctions particularly Orugodawatte, Borella- Kannatte, Armour Street (Sri Sumanatissa Mawatha) to name a few. Invaluable man hours and resources are wasted on account of the prevailing traffic congestion every day. Even pedestrians waste a lot of their time at these junctions.  Schoolchildren, workers and others are badly affected by traffic congestion.

 Therefore, I request the Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Bandula Gunawardena to find ways and means of easing the traffic congestion, which all of us have to face almost daily.

Why not get the Road Development Authority officials to look into this issue and find innovative solutions with the help of the Traffic Police?
