TNA declares war on drugs

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is taking all possible steps to end the drug menace in the areas where Tamils live in the Northern Province, former MP Mavai Senathirajah said.He said that the Tamil people and the civil society organisations must fully support the initiatives of the TNA.Senathirajah said drugs have no place in Tamil culture.

“Recently, the Minister of Justice came to Jaffna. He said that Jaffna had become a hotspot for drug consumption and a hub for narcotic transport. The Tamils should be ashamed of the spread of drugs. Drugs have become a problem across the country. So, we also have to join hands with all political parties and clean up the entire country. Now, even schoolchildren are targeted by drug dealers,” he said.
