Thurstan, St. Sebastian’s (Katuneriya) record outright victories

Thurstan College and St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya registered vital outright victories in the Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ tournament matches on Wednesday.

Vishwa Dananjaya bagged 11 wickets and Vihas Thewmika picked up five wickets in the second innings to lead Thurstan to their second consecutive victory in the Tier ‘B’ tournament match at Karandeniya.

Dharmasoka could muster only 53 and 76 runs in the two innings.

At Moratuwa, Nimna Fernando and Tharuka Manaram did well in the bowling department to guide St. Sebastian’s, Katuneriya to five wickets win over Dharmapala.

In a Tier ‘A’ tournament match between Gurukula and St. Joseph’s, Abishek Jayaweera and Poorna Kalhara excelled scoring centuries.
