Cherrie Chamari’s very first original, ‘Mandakini,’ created during the lockdown, has turned out to be a big hit.

The video for ‘Mandakini,’ on YouTube (https://youtu.be/a54qINMIA_A), has already been seen by almost 4000, and with plenty of encouraging comments, as well, such as:

* Though I do not understand the lyrics, I love the song… it’s true, music has no boundaries….

* Very catchy melody, Chamari. All the best on your first song.

* Nice song, Cherrie…your voice is mesmerising… and loved the music, too…. Overall, it’s amazing…. please upload a song with the lyrics. I would love to learn your language and understand the lyrics, too. You are multi-talented. More power to you… more strength to you. Hope you come up with more songs and more music albums in the future.

* Awesome work, akki…music, words and visuals are beautiful. God bless you, and all the best akki.

* Beautiful song, akki, and love your voice.

Obviously, Cherrie Chamari, who now resides in Melbourne, Australia, is thrilled with her maiden effort.

‘Mandakini,’ written by her nephew Ajantha Ranasinghe, and composed by Anthony Roshan, has a bit of a western rock touch as the singer has a husky voice.
