Three Indians held with Kerala cannabis with street value of Rs. 20 mn

The Navy intercepted an Indian dhow carrying over 62 kilos of Kerala cannabis west of the Delft Island, Jaffna on Saturday.

Navy headquarters said that the detection had been made by P 411 Fast Attack Craft of the 4th Fast Attack Flotilla. A senior SLN official said that the contraband had been found in 23 packages weighing about 62 kilos and 400g. The operation led to the arrest of 03 Indians. He said the suspects along with the stock of Kerala cannabis and the Indian dhow had been handed over to the Delft Police for further investigations.
