Those who give ‘voice cuts’ to media should be masked – DGHS
By Norman Palihawadana
The media has a right to ask those who give ‘voice cuts’ to be masked as they pose a threat to others in case they are infected with Covid-19, says Dr. Asela Gunawardena, Director-General of Health Services (DGHS).
“We have noticed that some persons are very vociferous when they air their views. If they are infected, the virus could be transmitted to media persons themselves through microphones and cameras used by them”, he said.
He said that it’s important to ensure that preventive guidelines are followed at all times to keep the virus at bay.
