The Technical Committee on vaccination had yesterday decided that those between the ages of 15 and 19 could be vaccinated with Pfizer, Secretary of the GMOA, Dr. Senal Fernando said.

“As the first step, healthy youth aged 18 and 19 will be vaccinated on 11 October at MOH offices and government hospitals,” he said.

Dr. Fernando said that GMOA had proposed to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa that ones between 15 and 19 should be vaccinated under the supervision of MOHs at health institutions. Moreover, children with allergies should be vaccinated at government hospitals.

“The Technical Committee has agreed with our suggestions,” Dr. Fernando said.
