Thehan edges out second seed Akila

Thehan Wijemanne edged out second seed Akila Vimukthi 2-1 in a thrilling quarter-final of the Men’s Singles of the National Clay Court Championships at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association Courts on Tuesday.

The Royal College player scored 6-1, 4-6, 10-3 against the second seed to qualify for the semi-final.

In the other quarter-final Yashitha de Silva beat Dumidu Dilum 6-2, 6-1.
