The Shackled Giant

Published

By Lynn Ockersz

Dizzied by the sparkle in David’s Pen,

Goliath, the Sword-wielding giant,

With the grasp and reach of a Leviathan,

Feels his proud limbs going limp,

His mighty heart overrun by fright,

On meeting little David in the battle field,

For, though he could draw on his brawny might,

And fell David with one Sword swipe,

Goliath finds himself most unequal to the task,

For, David’s loyalty to honesty and truth-telling,

With only a fertile Pen to see him through,

Gives him a rock-steady standing in the public eye,

And a good name which may never die.
