The leadership of Cardinal Sin of the Philippines
This refers to the recent telecast of the Ven Muruttutwe Hamuduruwo of Abeyrama Vihare announcing his approval of a Minister responsible for the financial administration of the country being forced to resign and that if this does not happen that he, the Ven Monk, would take further steps to achieve his end. This reminded me of the late Cardinal Jaime Sin, who played a major role in the agitation for ousting President Marcos. But at that time there was martial law enforced in the Philippines though here it is only a State of Emergency and limited curfew.
Going a few centuries back in history one is reminded of the glorious and bloodless revolution of 1688 when a king of England, James the Second was forced to abdicate.
Will history repeat itself is the question.
