Ten-year-old arrested with heroin

A 10-year-old child, who was allegedly snorting heroin at Vadamarachchi, was arrested by the Point Pedro Police on Saturday.

The police made the arrest on a tip-off that a child was addicted to heroin.

The child was also in possession of a packet of heroin.

Police have found that he had dropped out of school after getting addicted to the drug.

The child was to be produced before the Point Pedro Magistrate’s Court.
