Ten new Ministry Secretaries and two Provincial Chief Secretaries

President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed 10 Secretaries to Ministries and two Chief Secretaries on Friday morning (22).The appointments come into effect on January 1, 2024, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

The newly-appointed Ministry Secretaries are: Wasantha Perera (Education), M.N. Ranasinghe (Justice, Prisons Affairs & Constitutional Reforms), Gunadasa Samarasinghe (Wildlife & Forest Resources Conservation), A.C. Mohammad Nafeel (Water Supply & Estate Infrastructure), W.P.P. Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government), Saman Darshana Pandikorala (Irrigation), B.K.P. Chandrakeerthi (Environment), Dr. Sulaksha Jayawardena (Power and Energy), Eng. Ranjith Rubasinghe (Transport and Highways) and Dr. Dharmasri Kumaratunga (Technology).The new Provincial Chief Secretaries are: R.M.W.S. Samaradiwakara (North Central Province) and S.L.D.K.
