Ten more to be arrested for posting child porn on the internet

Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana yesterday said ten more persons had been identified for posting child pornography images on the internet.

They would be arrested within a couple of days, he said.

He said that the Police Children and Women’s Bureau would continue to search for people who posted child pornography on the Internet.

The police earlier arrested a 25-year-old man at Badalkumbura in Moneragala for uploading about 500 child pornographic images to the internet.

The suspect was remanded until Aug 20 when he was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
