Ten drinking water projects worth Rs. 850 mn completed

Compassion Services of the Believer’s Eastern Church, Colombo Diocese, provided drinking water projects for people in ten villages in Deniyaya. The 10 villages are Kandilpana (Enasal Watta A), Pallegama Secondary School, Deniyaya Secondary School, Kandilpana (Punchiwatta), Kandilpana (Enasal Watta B), Pibidenagama ‘Kudagalagena, Withurawa, Rangalawila and Ganoda (Kajuwatta).

A press release from the Believer’s Eastern Church Colombo Diocese said: The total cost incurred on behalf of this community service project by Compassion Services of the Believer’s Eastern Church, Colombo Diocese, is Rs. 850 million. The Episcopal Bishop of the Colombo Diocese His Grace Episcopa Geevarghese Mer Makariose with the blessings of His Holiness Metropolitan Bishop Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I has funded this worthy cause of providing clean drinking water for benefit of all people of the Deniyaya community, irrespective of race, religion or creed, a news release from the Vicar General.
