Teejay Lanka, Abans reach MCA ‘E’ division final

Teejay Lanka and unbeaten Abans Group booked their berths in the final of thr 21st David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, ‘DPGC’ Challenge Trophy – MCA ‘E’ division 25- Over League Tournament 2024 continued during the week-end of January 27 and 28.

In the top half Semi Final played at Bandaragama, Teejay Lanka scored a convincing four wickets win over Expolanka Holdings.

Expolanka batting first, put up a challenging total of 196 /9 in 25 overs.

Teejay Lanka riding on a solid half century scored by S. Adikari (57 runs in 27 balls inclusive of 3 sixes and eight fours) reached their target in 21.5 overs (197 /6)

In the bottom half Semi Final at MCA Abans Group maintained their unbeaten status with a comfortable seven wickets win over George Steuart Health.

GSH batting first was restricted to 122/9 in 25 overs by the Abans bowlers, Isuru Hashan (05-23-02) & Thisara Wickramasinghe (05.1 – 18 – 03).

Abans Group comfortably reached their target in just 17 overs. (123/3)

Teejay Lanka and Abans Group will now play in the final on Saturday (3) 03rd February, commencing at 10.00 am.
