Taxperts clinches National Ingenuity Award for its technological revolution in taxation
Taxperts Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., won the National Ingenuity Award at the 2021 IT Awards organized by the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM).
Taxperts was earlier honored with the Digital Social Impact Award at the e-Swabhimani Awards 2019 organized by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) as well as the National IT Award at the National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) in the same year organized by the Chartered Institute of Information Technology.
Taxperts was also nominated for the Asia Pacific IT Award in 2019. Taxperts continue to win awards because it was the first Sri Lankan company to launch a unique software for taxation.
The software introduced by Taxperts provides eases the process of taxation. The software helps to make tax compliance easy and accurate using the latest technology. Taxperts in particular make individuals to comply with their tax obligations from anywhere at any time with the support of experts. The system is now available to anyone at app.taxperts.lk
“The key reason for receiving so many national awards in Information Technology (IT) is for taking the initiative to use IT for the first time in Sri Lanka for taxation, which is considered a complex subject,” said Damith Gangodawilage, Founder and Chief Compliance Officer of Taxperts.
A veteran with many years of experience in taxation, he also serves as the Vice President of the Executive Council of the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation.
