Talks with Russia on proposal to set up nuclear power plant

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Levan Dzhagaryan, met the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, Prof. S.R.D. Rosa, on Wednesday (10) at the Russian Embassy in Colombo.

The parties discussed the prospects of development of cooperation in the nuclear sphere, including the construction of a nuclear power plant here as proposed by Russia earlier.

The parties agreed to have further talks.
