Take a bow Jeffrey!

The saying goes that a pen is mightier than a sword. That is why, over the years, journalists have stood tall. Those at The ‘Island newspaper’ are no exemption. They win the hearts of the readers through their respective styles of writing and reportage. But for the purpose, they normally use hundreds (or thousands) of words (as applicable) to convey the required message.

However, probably not receiving the due respect he truly deserves, is the “Cartoonist” of this newspaper, who does wonders to depict a full story of any incident, occasion or visionary aspect, with just a single drawing. “Jeffrey” is the name he affectionately assigns to himself.

One has to possess a unique aptitude to portray any particular message, with the maximum use of his talents, to convey or create an impression in the minds of readers of whatever a subject matter.  “Jeffrey” is simply excellent! His cartoons speak for themselves. Only a genius can do so and unarguably he therefore ranks among that elite category.

In every profession or occupation there is somebody who renders an invaluable service which somehow goes unnoticed or unappreciated. This can indeed be considered as a great failure on the part of humanity. An appreciative tap on the back, on and off, will certainly say much more than a million words would.
