Swisstek Aluminium, a leading player in Sri Lanka’s aluminium industry, has recently been awarded the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verification, further affirming their unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. This prestigious recognition was granted by the National Cleaner Production Centre confirming that Swisstek Aluminium’s carbon footprint monitoring system has achieved a “reasonable level of assurance” in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 14064-3:2019 standard.

ISO 14064-3:2019, a comprehensive framework developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), provides guidelines for verifying greenhouse gas emissions and removals statements. The verification process, conducted independently by the National Cleaner Production Centre, adheres to strict assessments to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of an organisation’s reported greenhouse gas emissions and removals data.

Tharindu Atapattu, CEO of Swisstek Aluminium, emphasised the company’s ethos and core values, stating, “Sustainability has always been at the heart of Swisstek Aluminium. Our steadfast dedication to sustainability has remained unwavering over time. This GHG Verification underscores our continuous commitment to implementing eco-conscious practices in every aspect of our operations. We take immense pride in receiving this prestigious recognition and remain resolute in our sustainability journey.”
