Sweden-Sri Lanka Business Council AGM held at Mount Lavinia Hotel
The Sweden-Sri Lanka Business Council (SSLBC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place at the prestigious Mount Lavinia Hotel (MLH) recently (Feb 8). Where the SSLBC also celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the two nations. The gathering was graced by prominent figures including the Former Swedish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Lars-Olof Lindgren, Council Secretary Mr. Leif Ohlson, Honorary Consul-General to Sweden Mr. Sanjay Kulatunga and Chief Operating Officer of MLH Mr. Anura Dewapura. The event served as a platform for members to convene, discuss, and strategize on enhancing business ties between the two nations.
The AGM commenced with a series of speeches by the council secretary and COO of MLH and the keynote speech was delivered by the Former Swedish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Lars-Olof Lindgren. During the fellowship attendees had the opportunity to delve into key topics such as bilateral trade relations, investment opportunities, and collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth.
One of the primary objectives of the AGM was to foster partnerships and collaboration among businesses in Sweden and Sri Lanka.
