Suspected heroin trafficker seeks bail

The Court of Appeal yesterday (13) fixed for inquiry on August 03, 2021 the application of revision bail, filed by Imard Abbu Bucker, accused of possessing 64 kilos of heroin.

 The High Court of Chilaw refused bail to this appellant. He was arrested in Chilaw on March 13, 2020.

State Counsel, Chathurangi Manawaduge appeared for the Attorney General made a respondent in this Bail application.

President’s Counsel Anil Silva, appeared with Nandana Perera for the petitioner who had sought bail in the Court of Appeal.

The Court Appeal bench comprised Justice Menaka Wijesundera and Justice Neil Iddawela.
