Suspect arrested with stock of capsule of pain killer

The Navy, during a search operation carried out with the STF at Ambalnagar, Talaimannar, on Saturday (06), apprehended a suspect with 526 capsules of a drug used to alleviate neuropathic pain,

Having interrogated the suspect, troops found a sack buried behind the house he was living containing the painkiller capsules which are abused by narcotic addicts. Subsequently, both the medicinal drugs and the suspect were taken into custody.

The suspect was identified as a 30-year-old resident of Mannar. The suspect together with the medicinal drugs were handed over to the Talaimannar Police for onward legal action.
